The Atoirelan North

"Mountains, thick, white forests and lots of snow, and that's about it. It looks rather empty and lifeless if you don't notice the small things like their vilages or that flower so many women place in amongst their locks.
Clímaco Lefèvre, Advisor to King Aitor III Larramendi

The home to many nomads and a rich tapestry of ethnicities outside and unknown down south to those in the Captiol of the nation of Atoirel, The Atoirelan North has a plethora of names from all matter of cultures from the 'southern' Moiauon to the most northern of the Plëpfõ peoples.

Geography

The Atoirelan North is one of the few places on the continent when some form of snowfall is garuneteed year after year. Depending on the time of year, one might come and find only 'a sea of snow with mountains poking out in the distance' or 'a mountainous wasteland of trees and the odd town or village in amongat the nothing'.

Peoples

Peoples vary aplenty up in the north, some estimates going up to 50 or more. However, the Moiauon (who make up the Bha Na Fir of the govurnment) and the Plëpfõ peoples (who mostly make up Klãnʻ Chyūll Pfa) are the two main groups, if one is to generalise. For the sake of most, that is enough, but it good and worthy advice for any academic willing to study the north's people: Do not gneralise under most (if not all) circumstances

Resources

While most rescources are scarce, wood and ores are abundant, leading to many with interest in buying land. Some have been protesting Atoriel's main governing body (The Klãnʻ Chyūll Pfa & Bha Na Fir) in recent years, thanks to this discovery, to take land by force. Yet, they seem to forget that the lower body of Klãnʻ Chyūll Pfa is meant to be voice for those who inhabit this snow covered landscape, and their votes for miltaristic action are highly contended. Some of the memeber do approve, citing arguments of a improvement in the lives of these northmen, and some for pure greed after being bribed. Some refuse, as this land is 'theirs' by many so-called 'ancient' laws.
