Clan Ventrue

The Ventrue have held power in Chicago for as long as most vampires can remember. For most of them, it is enough that one of their own claims power. As long as Blue Blood holds the throne, the rest of the Ventrue benefits. The city’s Ventrue falls into two camps whose membership is often interchangeable. Dubbed “the elite” and “the outsiders” by the Prince himself, the former includes Ventrue currently in the Prince's favor while the latter consists of those he tolerates. Jackson demands faithful service, personal improvement, and adherence to the Traditions as the tenets of admission and status as an elite, which grants the privilege of attending the most exclusive parties and important business meetings.
