A wyvern rider is a trained individual who is able to ride a Wyvern. Though the profession is outlawed by most kingdoms, there are still those who secretly keep Wyverns and learn to ride them.

Not only should a rider know about the wyvern and how to ride it, but a close bond between rider and drake is also required, as wyverns are known for their stubbornness and reluctance to be ridden.
