Coronation Square
Coronation Square is a large shopping complex located south of the town proper of Ladysmith along the Trans-Canada Highway at the Davis Road exit just below the Ladysmith Golf Club.
Built in 1974, Coronation Square was named for Mount Coronation, which can be seen high in the mountains above the location.
There are numerous shops and services at Coronation Square, and the location features a large parking lot. Notable shops include a Save-On Foods grocery store, a McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Starbucks, Dairy Queen a Dollar Store, a bank, a dentist's office, a machine parts shop, a gas station and several smaller shops and services.
In the days and weeks following the Blacklight Event, Coronation Square remained mostly deserted, with much of the town's necessary commerce having since been moved into the town proper.
