Outline:
Elisabeth grew up in a noble and respected family, daughter of some of the very first dark elven envoys. Although never truly spoiled, she was raised among money and comfort and never knew hardship. Shielded from the outside world, she lead a calm and peaceful life within the
Ashenvale. She was studying to become a judge in the Queen's Court for her entire life and received the best education the dark elves had to offer.
Her best friend was Alessandra, a young to-be-sorceress that came from a friendly noble family. The two were inseparable and growing into their twenties developed a hotheaded "on-again-off-again" romance until their fifties, when they eventually settled together for the next twenty years. During this time in her life, Elisabeth served as an Assistant Justice and helped lay the foundations for the first Unified Judiciary, a collaboration between humans, elves and dark elves for a common system of law and its enforcement.
At age 70, her parents were killed on a diplomatic visit to the Eastern Kingdoms. Elisabeth travelled by herself to retrieve their bodies, so they maybe be laid to rest in the hallowed crypts deep within the Vale, as direct descendants of the First Coven. Shortly after passing the Frontier on her way there, she was attacked by mountain bandits, robbed and beaten to the brink of death. She was saved by monks from one of the monasteries of the Constellation, spread throughout the Frontier.
Eye of the Tiger was one of the largest and most prominent orders at the time, its master was part of the Eternal Council. Pupils trained in the ways of martial arts and the Force, with a mastery of the legendary Tiger style and techniques. After a couple of years of ceaseless and intensive care, the monks nourished Elisabeth to a relatively healthy state. They wanted her to leave, because she couldn't be part of the order, but she wanted to stay and become strong. The monastery's master saw her potential and took her under his protection, defying the ways of the order that had stood for countless generations.
Under his wing, Elisabeth's talents were free to flourish. Her dark elven nature made her strong with Force and her determination to end injustice in the world gave her the strength to train day and night, harder than anyone else. With unyielding resolve, she quickly surpassed all of her peers and unlocked her true potential, reaching previously unseen heights of power between the monks in the Eye (of the Tiger... which coincidentally makes for the best possible song for a training montage when this is made into a feature film one day) or anywhere else within the Constellation. Her willpower was so strong that she was able to channel the powers of the Heart of Steel in an accident during a sparring session, holding up the supporting beam and column of the entire training hall until everyone got to safety.
After her master's inevitable death almost a full century later and with nobody coming remotely close to her level, she was honoured by the Council by being named the next Tiger. During her time as a Master, she became highly proficient in the eleven styles and mastered all techniques known to the monks, even inventing her own. She served as a master to the Eye of the Tiger for over four hundred years, until one day fate crossed her paths with none other than her queen. Not much had changed in the world over half a millennia and in an attempt to reach one of the crossings over the Frontier, a clan of bandits attempted to attack Arsianna and her party. The pyre made from the bodies of the thugs attracted the attention of the patrolling sentinels and it wasn't long before the two dark elves met.
The queen was joyful at the news that she was not dead and pleaded with Elisabeth to return home to the Vale. Elisabeth discovered buried feelings, a yearning for her home, that she hand't felt in centuries, but couldn't simply leave. Arsianna promised to return on her way back to the west and continued on her way. In the mean time, Elisabeth stepped down as Master and named as the new Tiger her most promising apprentice, Uei Xiao. This was directly against the ways of the Council, however some of the new masters were already plotting against her and she used this act of defiance as her resignation. When Arsianna came back, Elisabeth left with her and ventured once more unto the west.
On their journey to the far side of the continent, Elisabeth and the queen were separated once more. News reached them of massive raids on nearby elven territories and people slain by the hundreds. Arsianna had pressing matters to attend to back in the Vale, but she encouraged Elisabeth to go and aid the reinforcements that were being sent to the elves by the Allied Kingdoms. It is there on the battlefield that she met @Serig, the Defender, who opposed his own people of the Viking clans in order to protect elves. It was months until the raids finally ceased, long after the Allies and Elves had both given up on protecting this side of the coast. In the end, only Serig and Ellie stood, successfully denying the clans expansion into the massive forests of the elves. Impressed by her resolve and humbled by her strength, Serig invited Elisabeth to travel with him, to write the wrongs of men and protect the innocent. It was not easy, but this most honourable call was one she could not turn away from. With a heart of steel, Elisabeth decided to not return home despite her longing to see Alessandra once more, just like Serig could not go back to hold his son for the first time. Together, they travelled for over twenty years, helping the helpless and defending the weak where others would not. When Serig died, he named her the new Defender, for he thought of her as his own daughter, the child that he never had. Unable to do so with her own parents, Elisabeth returned his body home, to his son, so he may be let afloat to the Mountain, where the Vikings sent the bravest and most honourable warriors upon death. Then, finally, she ventured home to the Ashenvale, where she was met with celebration. The queens held a ceremony in her honour and Arsianna offered her to form and lead the Queensguard alongside
Valla. She was reunited with Alessandra, who in the mean time had become the Sorceress Elect, second only to Arsianna herself, and had risen among their people as the Duchess of Sateene. Although their previous relationship was not restored as it once was, strong mutual feelings lingered somewhere between the priority of their respective duties.
For the past century and a half, Elisabeth has been standing by her queen as a faithful guardian and serving as
The Defender in times of need. Now she has taken the responsibility to lead the forces of the Grand Alliance of humans, elves and dark elves, in their war against the rising evils of the world.
