Doctor Renz Xicon the First

Born Lawrence Banister on Earth in the Sol System, Renz joined the research vessel Lexicon on its maiden voyage out of the Sol system. Dropped off in the Chordas system by the carrier Nautilus, the Lexicon tried to land on a class-M world but was pulled into the gravity well too quickly. Renz was the first survivor to wake, the first to make contact with ... not alien life because he was the alien here ... local inhabitants, the eyan indigenes. Renz helped nurse the sick through the Landing Sickness inherent in suddenly thrusting themselves into a new organic environment.

After helping tend the sick, building the Lexicon University, and finishing his anthropology degree, Renz took the first opportunity he was offered to leave the quarantined colony. An opportunity that would take him directly into the vibrant and new civilization he has been waiting to study.

But walking into a live civilization is nothing like studying a dead one. Renz found himself blundering into a level of power and influence he wouldn't have asked for to save his life. The First Diplomat of the newly named Xicon Province, Renz made enemies and friends in equal measure.

History

Chi and Renz met in India at the recruitment for the Nautilus Project which intended on taking them out of the Sol system and dropping them in the habitable zone of a nearby star. They flew together from New Dehli to Los Angeles and spent six months in training and preparation for launch. When the Nautilus malfunctioned and dropped the Lexicon off in an arm of the galaxy opposite the galactic center from Sol and the Lexicon crashed on Eydan, Chi and Renz became inseparable as they nursed the sick from the Landing Sickness.
