Chromatite

Chromatite is a naturally occuring mineral named for its lustrous, pearlescent qualities, occuring in deposits and veins of varying qualities across every realm and plane of existence. The material is notoriously difficult to harvest for anyone except for those deemed to have the Spark - a mark on the soul that destines one for a life of adventuring, for better or worse, and the potential to become something more than a mere mortal. 
Chromatite's main purpose is acting as a binding agent for magic items. While the material itself has no distinct properties, it has oft been referred to as "Weave Stone" for the fact that it is pure magical essence converted into solid matter. How or why this happens is unknown, but regardless, it is one of the best crafting materials in existence for it. With the right tools and techniques, an avid craftsman can use Chromatite to make virtually anything, including the legendary Echoes & Notes of the Chromanexus. 
There are five qualities of Chromatite, each classified by their approximate rarity:

• Chromatite Fragment (Common)
• Chromatite Shard (Uncommon)
• Chromatite Chunk (Rare)
• Chromatite Slab (Very Rare)
• Pure Chromatite (Legendary)
