Dragon Riders

A sub order of the Dragon Knights, the Dragon Riders are the branch of dragon knights charged with keeping the lore of dragons and their artifacts safe and away from the wrong hands. Whereas the knights generally focus on protecting the balance between dragons and mortals, these rangers act as custodians and often serve as guides when the knights seek knowledge or direction before a mission, permitting both wings of the Order to see each other as peers and mentors in one capacity or another.
Most are inducted to the riders under the great silver wyrm Reindin's tutelage, but rather than taking the paladin's oath, they instead form a bond with the Orb of Dragonkind which in turn grants them a spark of draconic essence to represent that bond - their drake companion. In this way, while they are still honor bound by the Dragon Knights' tenets, they are permitted greater freedom in their interactions with the realm, acting as physical reminders of the companionship between society and dragons, as opposed to the fusion of these powers as the paladins display.

For the purposes of this Order, if you wish to join the Dragon Riders your character must have at least three levels in the Ranger (Drakewarden) class.
