Green Fields

While the one who discovered and named it wasn't very creative they didn't lie. In all the territories of the Edge, these are the most fertile of lands. Part of this is that there is a strong presence of primal and elemental spirits in the area. It is also believed to be because it is some of the closest lands to the Beast Clan Alliance which is known for its lush forests and thriving ecosystem.- Ace Cardia

Green Fields is found in the southwestern part of The Edge and bumps up against the great chasm that acts as a border to the beast clan alliance. It has many farms that stay close to the few towns established there. The rest is the lush forest that hides wild beast and dangerous spirits. There are rumors of secret ruins left by the ancients and shrines built to the great spirits that call them home.

Geography

Green Fields is mostly made up of forest that surround the towns and farms that make up most of the human settlements in the area. There is a large river that cuts through the region that splinters off in different directions. Some pooling into small lakes, while others continue a trek to the great ocean to the south. The great river comes from a large mountain said to be surrounded by storms that supply the area with its water supply. The beast clans say that a great water spirit that lives there.

Fauna & Flora

There are many interesting creatures and plants that make up the green fields. Because of its fertile grounds it has allowed for many plants to thrive and grow. Which aid a diverse ecosystem even allowing some to reach sizes not common in other areas of the edge.

Oak Trees

A typical oak tree that is common all over the green fields. Perfect for shade on a hot summer day.

Pine Trees

Pine Trees are found in the northern parts of the green fields as it begins to edge its way closer to the central and northern regions.

Juniper Trees

Apple Trees

Trees planted by the farmers to grow enough apples to keep the doctors away for everyone in the edge each day.

Rice Grass

Grass that produces the seeds known as rice.

Creatures of Green Fields

Wolves

Wolves roam many of the forests in the area. Some even believe a great wolf spirit lives deep in one of the bigger forest. Most people have no fear of these wolves as they stay away from human settlements. Though if one is foolish enough to go too deep in the forest they will end up never returning.

Deer

Deer are common amongst the forest and seem plentiful enough even with a large number of wolves in the area. Some even tell tales of a majestic white deer with golden antlers.

Rabbits

Rabbits may be small, but they can quickly fill out the forest with it's young. A major problem for some of the farms to close to the forest.

Natural Resources

Wood and fruit from the forest. Grain and vegetables from the fields that have been maintained by the farmers. Meat from deers and other hunting game. Along with some unique things found deep int the forest like essence crystals.
