Passenger Train
The Passenger Train is an important vehicle for the transport of goods and people. This vehicle mainly used in the empire and by the people of Salire. Orginally created to aid in transfering goods to the front during the war. Able to transport the weapons and equipment from Salire all the way to the imperial wall allowing goods to be transfered futher through wagons.
There are two main models or types of trains used by the empire and the Salirian Nobles. The first is the coal based train that was the original design of the trains. It was commonly used for the war and became a staple of industry allowing the empire to become more connected. After the war this would still maintain the ease of travel the empire depends on.
The Second Model is the recent Crystal powered trains. Designed to be faster it is still in the experiment phase. Able to go short distance rather quick, it does have an issue with over heating the crystal. Part of this may be due to the size and needed output. Some put it more on the machine parts still needing work to balance off the heat. Currently one of these trains is being tested in the western lands.
Power Generation
It is either powered with coal or essence crystals depending on the speed and distance the vehicle is needed to travel. Coal is better for long distances at slower speed, while essence crystals are better at short distances at a higher speed. Though their are rather few crystal based trains. Rumor is one is being implemented near the western border to support the settlements.
Propulsion
The train uses the power generated by the engine to work the mechanical parts to get the wheels moving. The more power generated the faster the mechanical parts can work. Their is also a brake system to aid in slowing down the train as it gets closer to it's destination.
