Prompt 2: The Shattered Eye

The Shattered Eye is relic with a lot of mystery tied to it. Though I know it for the tragedy that it caused. The tales of it's ability to create rifts to other worlds is true. Places where creatures are twisted by fungus, where the fallen pay the debts of life, and where people are twisted into crystalline statues screaming out for death. All things I saw if only as glimpses into the torment that makes up the worlds around us.
There were a time I thought we had it bad here. Though at least here things make sense. Then again nothing made sense that day. The relic tore everything around us. Trying to escape you risked walking into another world. Though I made it. Yet sadly those I cared for didn't All because I found that damn relic. I should of left it there in that ruin. - Ace Cardia

The Shattered Eye is one of the many Relics of the Lazari. Considered one of the Sin Bound Relics, it is believed to play a part at the end of the world. Capable of bestowing control of dimensional energy allowing the user to activate gateways without a key or create rifts. The user can even glimpse into other realities, allowing them to better decide where a portal should be formed.
Legend states that the first user of the relic was a rebel who fought at the side of Talion and Zavian. Not much else is known about her except that the two heroes valued her more than anything.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Not much is known about the inner workings of the relic. Though it is believed that the relic works to contain a substance that once fused will bestow the user with the power. It is not known if the case serves any other purpose beyond that.

Manufacturing process

It was created by melting down metal infused with dimensional energy. Then smelt two halves of the sphere, in a special mold carved with ruin etchings. Once both halves are created, you must get the substance in the center of it before sealing it into the sphere. Making sure to activate the sigils to lock it in place.

Significance

It is one of the relics left by the Lazari that are considered Guardian relics. Capable of fusing with a person and bestowing them terrible power. This one gives the user the ability to create rifts and effect dimensional energy.
