The Broken Barony

The Broken Barony is an epithet ascribed to the grouping of Baronies in the northern portion of Cinder. An area of large wilderness regions marked with castles, villages, and hamlets, each individual barony is ruled independently of the surrounding baronies and maintains their own standing forces. At the current moment, the baronies struggle to fulfill the basic requirements of the feudal society, with the peasants being assaulted by monsters frequently and crop yields dropping, while the nobles argue and conspire amongst themselves, often foregoing the responsibilities of an adequate ruler.

• Barony of Henninger
• Louthold Barony
• Schoenberg Barony 

The Broken Barony fits the themes of medieval Germany and England, where feudalism is the primary form of governance. The land is largely composed of forests and plains.
