The Collective

THE COLLECTIVE

The Collective was created as a political communion featuring several of the most powerful men and women in the world to systematically represent their organizations and nations.   The most powerful members of the Collective were Tornun, Rysia, Dulorose Corporation, and Camton Corporation, alongside hundreds of other participants.

Structure

THE FIRST SECTION

The First Section of the Collective involved all of the political leaders of Ciphrus, like Jon Calotan, the acting president of Tornun from 12555-12556.   The First Section was mostly responsible for international decisions on blockades, declarations of war, and other decisions concerning political parties of the Surface World.   The Chairmen of the First Section, who held more power than other smaller nations, were Jon Calotan, Maylo Ui, and Kilo Parton, governing Tornun, Selahktia, and Rysia respectively. They were the fair say, and made the ultimate decisions based on an electoral college.

THE SECOND SECTION

The Second Section involved all of the corporate leaders of Ciphrus, including Farnye Dulurouse, Cecile Parton (Kilo Parton's daughter), and Vani Varlo.   The Second Section worked differently in that it was a complete democracy, instead of a democratic republic. All members of the Second Section acted independently, with independent votes on certain subjects and only pertained to the funding of political agendas via third party inclination. However, talk of politics and religion, as well as other delicate subjects such as race were forbidden in many of the galas and balls that were orchestrated.

THE CONVENTION SECTION

The Convention Section was a group of small mediators which moderated the Collective Convention every 20 years. They had no real say in individual section rites, however were key when deciding decisions based on both Sections, including the formation of the I.H.M.D.

Public Agenda

The Collective's goals shifted as the years went on, however generally they promoted the furthering of nations' economies and world peace. This did not always mean mixing of races, or hardly so, even. Mainly, it meant in combining the riches of other corporations or rich men and women in order to achieve a common goal.

Assets

The Collective had many assets, including part of the military spending budget from Tornun, Selahktia, Rysia, Undata, and numerous other smaller countries, as well as the combined funds given in by major corporations around the world. This essentially made the Collective the most powerful organization on Ciphrus, and it remained that way all the way up to the Collapse.   Their assets still live on, however, in the I.H.M.D.

History

The Collective was formed in 12331 when Tornun, Undata, and Rysia decided that there had to be a global policing force for the many conflicts involving race and ethnicity. At first, only four additional countries signed on, adding on until it reached 15. However after the Collective invited corporate designations in 12450, its member count expanded exponentially.   In 12451, the Collective introduced a new idea by separating the corporate and political agenda Collectives and only convening with them once every twenty years. The last known Collective Convention was 12550.   In 12530, the Collective Convention created what is known as the International Health and Militaristic Division. The division was meant to be activated during a worldwide catastrophe which surface-side response teams could not handle. It was funded by the Dulurouse Corporation, Tornun, Rysia, and Selahktia, as well as a handful of funds sent from multiple other smaller corporations and nations from the Vai Continent.   In 12550, the Collective Convention expanded funding to the I.H.M.D., as well as conversed about the escalating tensions between Undata, Tornun, and Rysia. The threat of nuclear war was much closer than anticipated, and negotiations broke down, almost leading to the Collective being disbanded.   The official disbandment of the Collective was in 12556, and it was absorbed by the I.H.M.D. The members of the Collective are presumed dead or missing somewhere in bunkers around the world.

Disbandment

The Collective was disbanded in 12556, when the Collapse caused most emergency response relief to fail. This in turn caused the Collective to activate the Last Initiative, and subsequently the International Health and Militaristic Division. It fell to the chaos, and lives on as a phantom in the I.H.M.D. as a husk of its former self.
