Defences

This city has walls, as well as a heavily protected castle as it's last line of defense. As for the military regiments, Sleekwach has one 'official' fleet, as well as several land regiments including archers, cavalrymen, a pair of artillery units and infantrymen. Their total standing soldiers are about 500 strong.

Industry & Trade

Sleekwach is a mostly naval base capital of the country, and thusly does most of its trade on the water; taking advantage of their position in the bay to control and use the natural resources within. With such a large population, this city also has a hand in many types of trade worldwide, and prides themselves on this fact. The town may be the 'capital city' of the company/country, but let it be known that the only true government is the people themselves, and maintaining relationships. Crime is looked on with a blind eye if the victim remains silent or isn't well-liked, as such much illegal trade is also done here. The Wachers of this town are an amalgamation of shipbuilders, fishermen, traders, crafters, and any other imaginable profession, (Except perhaps lawyers. You will have a hard time finding a straight-laced lawyer in this city.)

Points of interest

Amenities offered in Sleekwach:
Harbor- The harbor of sleekwach is, some say, the largest in the world, and the only one you do not have to have a permit of access to dock at.
Marketplace- A typical marketplace, haggling is accepted, encouraged, and sometimes the only way to actually talk to a merchant there. All fashions of legal and illegal trade can be found there, if you look hard enough, and ask the right people.
Blacksmiths- The local blacksmiths may spend most of their time making the iron nails and various other hooks, pulleys and metal materials for ships, but you can also find some of the finest blades, armor and jewelry here. Try not to ask too many questions of where they come from, you might not like the answer, or perhaps the sword at your throat.
Theatre- Many a traveling performer has taken the stage at the theatre of Sleekwach. This place is truly do or die though, as the attendees take to throwing daggers instead of tomatoes.
Cartographer- Being so close to the bay, and the equally terrifying jungles of the southern half of the country, there are cartographers aplenty in Sleekwach; they can make you detailed plots of the bay, the surrounding ocean, and the known paths through the jungle. The better you pay, the safer they'll draw the map. Good luck.
Scribe- Illiterate? You may be able to find a skilled writer here, or perhaps someone to write a letter for you as well. They work in line with the couriers of Sleekwach, and you can often find all three in the same building.
Library (Malkain)- It wouldn't be a capital city if there was no library, yes? This library contains vast naval charts from around the world, and is actually quite the upstanding place. The Fukibi that run it are sure of this, and have grown to keep an iron fist on their inventory of artifacts, scrolls and valuables; Sleekwach, and in turn, all of Murake, is a hostile place for valuables of any kind..
Bowyre- Just as you can find most any kind of weapon from the blacksmiths and traders,  you can get a well-made bow and arrows aplenty as well. Some may even let you use the testing dummy in the backroom for practice.
Apothecary- Need a potion to calm the stormy seas? How about one to change the direction of the wind? Safe travel? An uncuttable purse!? There are salves, herbs, potions and spells for any need in this town, and the Apothecaries are sure to have them all, hiring a variety of astronomers, sailors, witches and herbalists to cover any variety of need you might find. Apothecaries can also be a great place to find religious goods.
Courier Service- The courier service of Sleekwach hires anyone willing to do the job and do it quickly. As such, many of their employees are actually orphans off the street, those who have no skills in any field but running, or people who can't get a job anywhere else. As such, they can sometimes be unreliable, overcharge, and they definitely read your mail. (Just in case it is damaged in transit, or so they say)
Gambling- did you really expect this to not be here.
Purchasable Housing- If you really desired to take up permanent residence in Sleekwach, you can buy property here in a variety of places for a variety of prices, renting and or owning can be arranged of course. To buy you must talk to a real-estate agent and the current owner, if any, of a certain property. Keep in mind that if someone refuses to sell a property to you, there are still ways of procurement, and as long as you do it in secret and to no one's knowledge, there's nothing really stopping you from killing them for it; though the same could be said for others and for any property in Murake.
