Session Twenty-Three

General Summary

Willow goes to Gronk to try and find books. He says he doesn't really do books but he had a pretty notebook, a locked book with a bluish clear gem on the front and Fifty Shades of Gray. She traded magpie feathers from the birds that live inside her for the locked book.   Willow, Justin and Leah go to the The British Museum with the aim to see what happens if Willow tries out her powers there. Upon entering both Willow and Leah got really bad headaches from being inside the museum. Leah tried talking to the museum to see if that helped, she recieved many strange looks from the people around her but there was no obvious reaction from the museum.   When Willow tried to use her powers inside the museum, she found that her powers were restrained and pushed back inside of herself. She couldn't extend them at all while she was inside of the museum. After this she decided to leave the museum to try again from the outside. Meanwhile, Leah had wandered off in the museum. She noticed that a dark-skinned lady wearing a full pelt of furs was watching her. She spoke out to see if the lady was okay but upon realising she'd been seen, the lady turned and moved down a corridor. Leah followed just in time to see a door marked 'Staff Only' swing shut. She did not go through the door but Leah waited in front of the door for 10 minutes to see if the lady returned. She did not.       Rudra - the entity behind the museum, that enjoys knowledge and the pursuit of knowlege and has taken the museum to be it's temple and home. It is smaller than it used to be due to the loss of magic from the world. Willow asks her if it knows what she is, she recieves an image of a mother wolf with suckling pups. Willow gets a sense of removed gratitude from it and an image of the woman stood surrounded by bodies with their throats ripped out as if trying to show that it can take care of itself.   When she comes out of it, it is as if no time has passed at all.   Willow picks the lock on her book and the cage springs open. Looking through the book, all the pages are blank apart from a fanged face on the first page. The face looks like a mixture of human and beast features. After mentioning it to Justin, Justin recognises it as a demonic creature from one of the potential origin stories of vampires. Willow decides to thoroughly lock up the book again.     Alice meets up with Crow in a graveyard at midnight, where he was playing a creepy melody on a flute. While what she was originally wanting (forbidden books on the Cindermen) was out of her price range, she agreed to do a favour for him in return for him finding out more information about where the Cindermen are. Alice was delighted when Crow said she had a "heart of gold".   Later when Alice discussing things in The Local the group discover in the Local that they all know Crow. Willow realised that she had seen Crow in one of her visions of the future. He had been in The Local while the future version of the group were discussing battle plans.   Leah gets trapped in the local.
