Hellboy is the titular character from Hellboy, which is a successful indie comic and has been adapted into films and a soon-to-be game. Going by his appearance he is a half-demon, half-human, and wound up in the human world. Hellboy was raised by an eccentric old man during World War 2.
Hellboy has a penchant for chocolate and despite how he looks, comes across as a petulant teen at times. His real name is Anung Un Rama and apparent descendant of King Arthur. He is known for his large frame, super strong, and acute knowledge of the occult and supernatural. He also uses a revolver that probably is customized.
The red demon also is a factor to the end of the world, which is revealed in the comics. Rough around the edges but he's a pretty decent guy you can get a beer with.
Lore: Hellboy will be called to this world at some point and wind up dealing with Dune Worms for sports before settling in Rollingsberg where he will also set up shop.
