Ranma Saotome, heir to the Anything Go School of Martial Arts. Ranma is a martial artist of 16, that has been studying it since he was a toddler and his skills are not to be underestimated. His social skills are lacking and is blunt which causes problems.. He has been told by his father, Genma, that he is to be engaged to Akane Tendo so the two families can be one in taking care of the school. He is immediately against it, though he has been cursed with turning into a girl when splashed with cold water due to falling into a cursed spring with his dad when training. He really wants to go back to Jusenkyo, China, and find the spring of the drowned man but due to whatever fate is out there, is stuck in his current predicament. Though he is initially annoyed and is a jerk to Akane at points in the series, there is a love there that grows with time and the two can not help out or get involved. Ranma also has other female admirers that yearn for his attention and it gets even more complicated when one of his rivals falls for his girl-half...it's never easy being Ranma in the world of Nerima, Japan. Ranma is a good martial artist and is shown that when he loses, he usually gains some experience and fights again. He is quick on his feet and knows techniques like the "Chestnut Fist", "Rising Dragon Wave" and a ki blast that uses his own self-confidence to boost the energy output. Though he denies it, he does love Akane and even though he isn't good with expressing his real feelings and being awkward with the opposite sex, he is a kind individual when you get beneath his self imposed man traits that is put into question in the mindset of the 2020's. Lore: Ranma will appear in this world with Akane and a copy of the Tendo Dojo intact. He will also have good relations with Inuyasha, Yusuke, and Riku. Ranma will also get a lesson in not being a misogynist. Regular battle quote It'll take you a couple of hundred years to beat me! Character specific Ryoga - Shouldn't you be getting lost somewhere pork butt? Inuyasha - I'm talking to myself? Yusuke - I gotta start working on my own ki to get to that kind of level! Ragna - Boy, I'm getting a bad feeling when I fought you. Kind of reminds me of the old freak. Silver Crow - Whoa man, you're so fast, my chestnut fist couldn't keep up! Sky Raker - I don't normally fight girls you know? I should've changed... Z-Man - What's with the outfit dude, it gives you powers?
Any female character - It's not in me to fight anyone that's a girl, BTW.
Any female (as Ranchan) - Yup, I'm a girl and I kicked your butt!!! No harm no foul!!Ver 1
