Ultras

Kinds of Ultras

There are a few different origins for members of the Ultra race since it's implied that Ultras are further up on the evolutionary ladder than other races and that as races evolve they tend to turn into something resembling an Ultra (been that way since the first series Ultraman and was just to imply an Ultra human)[be]   Their are in fact some Ultraman-like beings, Mirror Knight, and Glenfire, who are incredibly similar to Ultras but not.[be]   There are also artificial Ultraman, made of cloning, magic, or robotics, so Ultra LIKE creatures can come from almost anywhere.[be]   As a side note, some Ultramen just exists because "Plot said so" and come from "Fuck you for asking" like Ultraman Cosmos. No one knows where he came from.

The Land of Light

The most prominent origin for Ultras, The land of Light in present time is a Dyson-sphere-like planet. But instead of a sphere containing a sun inside, the Land of Light contains many stacked islands like chunks of land, creating almost an archipelago of land masses stacked and arranged in a sphere around an artificial sun, The Plasma Spark.

The Plasma Spark

The Plasma Spark was created after the original sun of the land of light went out. Scientists of the land of light created it to replace the sun, saving their planet. But it also had the unintended side effect of being a somewhat magic artifact, creating a powerful light energy that empowered all the citizens it touched, accelerating their evolution from a Human race, into Ultras, by being large and wearing the attire of an Ultraman that viewers see.If the Plasma Spark loses power, the Ultras revert to human form, as seen in one of the Ultraman films.
It's also where the Ultra's powers, like shooting lasers come from. In fact while in the land of light, the plasma spark makes it so the Ultras can remain in ultra form indefinitely. In many Ultra shows, it's said that Ultras can only keep their form for a limited time because of Earth's sun not being as good as the plasma spark, or pollution not letting enough sun through.

Morality

Unlike other Ultras from other origins, those hailing from the Land of Light have an almost compulsory predisposition to do good. This doesn't stop anyone Ultra from being, arrogant, cruel, brutal, malicious, or just kind of a dick.   It does show a trend where almost No Ultras from the land of light would ever choose to make the world a shitier place. In fact, the only land of light Ultra to do so is Ultraman Belial and he only did so after being possessed by an alien called Reiblood, before said possession he was a bad person (he fixated on the negative, admired strength even for an extremely negative purpose, and killed wantonly) but he wasn't actively seeking to conquer/destroy the galaxy.[be]   Robots, clones, and magic doppelgangers are not bound by this morality but can be inspired by it.
Crisis Impact
Due to Belial attempting and failing to conquer the galaxy and the damage slash power vacuum that was left behind, Many of the enemies or aliens in Geed are refugees of this catastrophe, like Pega (Ultraman Geats).
Multiverse theory[/center Ultraman appear to come from one "main" universe where they got their start, however as the show continued throughout the ages, and writers not really thinking of consisitency with the lore, it is mentioned in Geats and Z, that the earth the shows, and presumbly the others, are in another dimension, where there is an earth in crisis by giant monsters or great evil that will threaten all life and an Ultraman appears and grants a human their powers to fight. One deal is there being a space force to deal with the monsters, though it usually winds up being for not due to the strength of the rampaging beasts.

Ultramen can cross this divide it seems, like Zero for instance, or Geats. While some strong source of power like the Plasma Spark can offer a boost to get there, Zero is free to travel and not break the rule of "non interference" like in Kingdom Hearts.   In the spectrum, the multiverse has become a big plot in the lastest dealings of media as of late and here's hoping Ultraman uses the concept reasonably.
Possession of a human
Given Ultraman's unique abilites that defy human understanding, there are times that the main human of the series gets injuried and saved by the light being, and fused for the majority of the series so the host body can heal. With this unification, the host gains some skills, if it becomes nesseccery, like enhanced traits of speed, and maybe strength. It's unknown how Ultra's feel over having human feelings and how they feel in an ordinary deal of a human needing to go to the restroom, or having an intimate moment withi a loved one, or just plain horny. However, this is a kids show, and nothing like that should ever be answered.

Though if they ever did, make it like an Adult and - *person writing gets punched upside the head to end this segment*
