Hi there! My name is Brigita Isaacson, and I'm delighted to share my story with you. I'm a 49-year-old woman who's been happily married to my husband, Shimon, for over 25 years. We have three children, two sons, Emil and Arsen, and a daughter, Keila.
I grew up in Lithuania, where I lived with my parents and two younger sisters. My childhood was filled with happy memories of spending time with my family, playing outdoors, and enjoying traditional Lithuanian foods. When I was 18, I moved to Israel to study nursing. That's where I met Shimon, who was also studying at the same university. We fell in love quickly and got married after graduation.
After getting married, we lived in Israel for a few years, but we wanted a change of pace. We heard about Tasmania, a beautiful island off the southern coast of Australia, and we decided to move there with our children. It was a big adjustment, but we quickly fell in love with the natural beauty of the island and the warm, welcoming community.
In our free time, Shimon and I enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors. We also love to cook together and experiment with new recipes, often incorporating flavours and ingredients from our home countries. We're proud of our multicultural family and the traditions we've brought with us to Tasmania.
As for my personal hobbies, I love to read and am an avid gardener. I find so much joy in tending to my plants and watching them grow. That's actually what inspired me to start working at Wild Island Nursery. It's been such a fulfilling job, and I love helping people find the perfect plants for their homes and gardens.
Overall, I'm grateful for the journey that's brought me to Tasmania and for the life I've built here with my family.
