Hi there, my name is Cressy Vinson, and I'm the co-owner of Wild Island Nursery, along with my husband Henry. I'm 34 years old and originally from Hobart, Tasmania.
Growing up, I always had a fascination with plants and nature. I would spend hours exploring the forests and parks around my hometown, learning about the different species of trees and flowers. It was this love for the natural world that led me to pursue a career in horticulture.
After completing my studies in horticulture, I worked for several years at various nurseries, learning about different plant species and gaining hands-on experience in plant care and propagation. It was during this time that I met my husband Henry, who shared my passion for plants and the environment.
Together, we decided to start our own plant nursery, and that's how Wild Island Nursery was born. We wanted to create a space where people could come and learn about plants and nature, and where we could share our love for the environment with others.
At Wild Island Nursery, we specialise in a wide variety of plants, from native Tasmanian species to exotic plants from around the world. Our nursery is one of the largest and most diverse in the state, and we take great pride in providing our customers with the highest quality plants and expert advice on plant care.
When I'm not working at the nursery, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking in the beautiful Tasmanian wilderness, and advocating for environmental conservation. As a mother, I feel a deep responsibility to protect the natural world for future generations, and I'm committed to doing everything I can to make a positive impact on the environment.
I'm proud of what we've accomplished at Wild Island Nursery, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for our business and for the environment as a whole.
