I grew up in the heart of Miami, Florida, with the sun-kissed beaches and vibrant city life as my playground. Our family home was a modern oasis, thanks to the artistic talents of my parents. My dad, Kliment, was an architect with a knack for creating sleek, stunning structures, and my mom, Nicoleta, worked her magic as an interior designer, turning those buildings into living works of art. Creativity was in our blood, and it was evident in the very walls of our home.
My older brother, Silas, was more of a chip off the old block, showing a strong interest in architecture like my dad. He was always sketching designs for buildings, and our dad loved mentoring him. Silas was the academic one in the family, diving deep into the world of blueprints and floor plans, dreaming of designing the next iconic Miami skyscraper.
But me? Well, I was different. My heart was drawn to the outdoors, to the earth beneath my feet and the lush greenery that surrounded our home. While my brother and dad talked about beams and structures, I would be out in the yard, tending to the garden and imagining how I could make it even more beautiful. Landscaping fascinated me; it was like sculpting with living, breathing art.
As I got older, my fascination grew into a passion. I would spend hours reading about plants, learning about soil composition, and experimenting with various gardening techniques. I couldn't resist the call of the soil, and I knew that landscaping was my true calling.
One of my favourite memories from my childhood was working side by side with my dad on a landscaping project for a client. He'd occasionally bring me along to help out, and those moments were priceless. I learned the finer details of design, plant selection, and how to create an outdoor space that was not just beautiful but functional. Those experiences with my dad and brother were instrumental in shaping my path as a landscaper.
As I reached my teenage years, my interests expanded beyond our backyard. I started exploring the natural beauty of Florida. Long hikes through dense forests, the serenity of fishing by the water, and the thrill of cruising in our family boat became my cherished pastimes. Weekends on the boat were especially exciting because I'd take my little vessel out on the water, navigating the beautiful Miami coast. Sometimes, Dad and Silas would join me, and we'd make it a fun family outing, exploring the hidden gems of the coastline together.
In my downtime, I had an unusual hobby - collecting rocks. My room was filled with a growing assortment of unique and fascinating stones from various locations across Florida. Some people might have found it odd, but to me, each rock told a story of time and place. I loved learning about the geological history of each piece, how it formed, and where it came from. It was my way of connecting to the Earth, even when I wasn't working in the yard.
Now, at 22, I stand tall at 6'2", my body muscular and sturdy from years of hard work as a landscaper. My sandy blond hair is a wild mop that I keep swept to the side, and my scruffy beard adds to my rugged appearance. My blue eyes are always filled with curiosity, taking in my surroundings and constantly seeking ways to make them better.
You'll usually find me in my work boots, cargo shorts, and a well-worn t-shirt, ready to get my hands dirty while transforming a yard into a lush paradise. My warm smile lights up my face, making me approachable and easy to get along with. I'm a laid-back guy, happiest when surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors and the earth beneath my feet. My career in landscaping is just beginning, and I'm excited to see where it takes me. I know that my family will always be there to support me on this journey, just like they've been since I was a young boy playing in the garden they created with so much love and passion.
