Virginia Collins
Virginia Collins
Hi there, my name is Virginia Collins. I'm a middle-aged woman from Hobart, Tasmania, and I work as a carer at the Vaucluse Nursing Home. I've been in the caregiving industry for over a decade now, and I've seen many different people come and go. I love my job because it allows me to make a real difference in the lives of those who need help and support.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I find that being in nature is very soothing and calming, and it helps me recharge my batteries. I love taking long walks in the park or going on hikes in the wilderness. I also enjoy reading, particularly books about history and culture. I find that learning about other people's experiences and perspectives can be very enlightening.
In terms of my family, I have a husband and two grown-up children who are both living in other parts of the country. We keep in touch regularly, though, and we love to catch up over the phone or on video calls. My husband and I have been married for over 25 years, and we still enjoy each other's company as much as we did when we first met.
Overall, I feel very fortunate to have a job that I love and a family that supports me. I know that caregiving can be challenging at times, but I truly believe that it's a calling and that it's something I was meant to do. I hope that I can continue to make a positive impact in the lives of those around me, both at work and in my personal life.
