Detective Lahey receives an urgent call about her grandmother's distress, forcing her to abruptly leave the police station to attend to the situation.

Upon returning to the police station with Detective Glen Crosswell, Detective Sarah Lahey was already formulating what she would say to Detective Karl Jenkins regarding his delays and lack of clear communication. However, her train of thought was interrupted by an urgent phone call from Virginia, informing her that her grandmother was very distressed. Without hesitation, Sarah promised to be there in ten minutes, the concern for her grandmother's wellbeing taking precedence over her frustration with the case and her partner.
Sarah quickly left the station, heading to the nursing home where her grandmother resided. As she navigated the short drive, Sarah's thoughts were a whirlwind of worry for her grandmother, frustration with the case, and irritation with Karl, testing her ability to balance personal responsibilities with professional duties in the face of mounting challenges.
