Port of Skyfoss

A small but well stocked port town surrounded by cliffs on the island of Skyfoss. Primary industry is catching Quefish, iron mining in the surrounding cliffs, and services for ships passing through . Its known to be a happy and hospitiable place and considered a great stop over place. On the far side of the island, the cloud falls of Mount Foss are the largest in the world and attracts the occassional wealthy tourists.

You sail towards the Port of Skyfoss, a cozy and cheerful town on the island of the same name. You see the bright colors of the houses and shops, nestled in the cliffside and steep bluffs which meet the sea. The air is fresh and clean with a hint of grilled Quefish, a local delicacy. Laughter and music carry across the clouds from the townsfolk who welcome you with open arms and friendly smiles. You feel a sense of warmth and hospitality, as if you were visiting an old friend. Looking to the far side of the island, you marvel at the sight of a majestic cloudfall that cascades from the peak of Mount Foss, creating a misty rainbow in the sky. You wonder what secrets and treasures lie atop the mountains, and what adventures await you in this charming port.

Layout

• Port along cloud sea with 10 docks, two small warehouses, and a merchant house
• Town is terraced into side of cliffs with stairs connecting streets of increasingly higher levels
• Lowest level is main street lined with small independant shops, about 10 minute walk to the end to end. Variety of merchants, restaurants, and artisan shops catering both to locals and travelers. Clean and brightly colored.
• Levels about main street is residential neighborhoods where residents live. Mostly fishers, artisans, merchants, and miners. Houses are modest multilayered but well kept and brightly colored. Folks are generally friendly and curious to strangers

Governance

City council of five elected by residents. Current council: Dirge, Helen, Wanra, Vastra, Krass

Noteworthy Locations

• Bent Hook Tavern - Only tavern/inn in town, melting pot for locals and travelers alike.
• Merchant house - Standard type of merchant house where jobs can be found and travel can be booked, proprieter is Krass
• Granny's Goods - General store, proprieter is Gertrude Granny Pippin
