This is an outbreak of a disease that happened in the 1800c in Terran Space. The truth of the situation was never full discovered until the next century.

Transmission & Vectors

In all outbreaks the transmission once contracted is touch of skin, it 110% passed on, no just carries.

All are contagious from first signs to about the fourth stage, after that point the disease can be treated.

Causes

During the outbreaks, all testing was inconclusive, and though soil seem to be have a link it was not proven just theory.

Symptoms

Dizziness

Breathing difficulty

Nausea

Low grade fever until the last stage, where it spikes and become severe

coughing in the later stage, often those who either had or develop later from the breathing issues

Tingling of hands and feet, while not common all have or experience weakness

Treatment

First Outbreak

Alpha Feverfew, first level of treatment until person reaches the fourth stage of the disease. Then after that, a dose or course of Multiroban with Pentora to cure

Prognosis

First Outbreak

A long recover for all who survived, they all had brownish marks on their hands and feet. Many had breathing troubles that eventually faded around the 3mth mark. Many suffered from pin and needles sensations that took a months to fade.

There often present a weakness in the lungs, that stubbornly resisted curing, though after about a good year even that cleared up, leaving them healthy.

Soil has been theorised but not proven beyond doubt, as it seems to possible have a short life cycle. Most of infected were from touch of a one who already had the disease.

Prevention

No prevention has been able to be perfected due to the lack of uncontaminated specimen of the virus, as it breaks down too quickly once it has infected the subject.

Epidemiology

The outbreak was first seen since leaving Earth, and since they had perfected the removal of DNA defects (such as allergies, weakness in genetics), there were no warning in the first and the following outbreaks.

Due to the healthiness of the population it is believed that the level of deaths was lower than it could have been due to lack of immunity to the disease.

Cultural Reception

The first outbreak saw it accepted, as those marked were survivors, but there next three times saw a drastic change as the Temple saw the mark as a sign from God that they were unclean, and this resulted in many of the survivors being shunned out of fear of catching it, but also feeling the displeasure of the Temple.
