Italy (it-uh-lee)
Italy is a country located in Europe, sharing borders with Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, and France. Vatican City exists within its borders, as does the city of Rome. The country was the heart of the Roman Empire and the great artistic Renaissance. Italy is the tenth largest country on planet Earth. It has the third highest population in Europe. During World War II, they were part of the Axis powers with Japan and Germany. The country is a member of the United Nations and NATO. The Italian division of Majestic is stationed within the Dolomites, Majestic 17. It has the most World Heritage Sites according to data from UNESCO .
