Japan (jia-pan)
Japan is an island country located in East Asia within the Pacific Ocean's Ring of Fire, with the archipelago consisting of 14,125 islands. It is the eleventh most populated country on the planet Earth and a major socioeconomic superpower, having some of the largest influence on culture across the globe for its influence on animation, video games, music, technology, art, literature, architecture, and food. The term "kaiju" itself stems from the native language, meaning "strange beast." It is also one of the major leading developers of anti-kaiju technology, pioneering maser tank, hovercraft, and mech weaponry. During World War II, they were part of the Axis powers with Italy and Germany. The country is a member of the United Nations and an ally of NATO. It also serves as the location for four Japanese sectors of Majestic , known as Majestic 4, 9, 42, and 49.
