The Spaceship Shield but for Planets

The defensive planet system is the Powered Shield that engulfed the entire atmosphere allowing the fully protection of each bodies. It uses the combination of powered shield for the physical defense, and Hologram for planetary projecting, to make it possible. Theorically, no matters can penetrate the shield even the gas particles. It usually deploys at the low-orbit height or space boundary of the planet; The higher the shield, the more energy consumed.

The megasphere also be used on planet terraforming or construction. The shield can be designed to form the temporary o-zone layer, or filtering specific matters including temperature, making the surface hot or cold as they wanted. It cannot block the light completely, but can prevent any incoming asteroid from entering the site.

Manufacturing

It came with various designs. The most basic form is the projecting stations locating on specific grids throughout the planet, then cast the shield high over the atmosphere. The most popular one is the orbital station with design like a gateway, with the one entrance that is the station itself. The latter one may as well require additional defense to defend its gateway - like patroling fleets.

Complexity

It used the array of batteries to power the entire system indefenitely. The source to charge it also essential, to the point that the most popular one are using geothermic energy from the planet core to run it. The method to transfer its overpowered energy can be wired or wireless depending on design.
