Beasthropy

Some Beasts have a combination of two factors:
  • possess venom
  • have another ability which is deadly.
Poison does not cause Beasthropy, only venom does. The method of infection varies from Beast to Beast, but the result is always a human infected with the condition known as Beasthropy. Beasthropy manifest as a physical disability in those afflicted. The physical changes manifest as the human gaining features from the Beast that infected them. The changes can be minor or majorly noticeable and can effect anywhere from one appendage to the entire body. The worst reported cases made the afflicted resemble anthropomorphicBeastsAmount of venom does not correlate to scale of transformation. Beasthropy can be passed along from ancestors, creating lineages of afflicted people. How people treat those suffering from Beasthropy varies by time and place. Beasthropy occurs as the immune-response to the venom being injected into the human system. The response causes the body to change and resemble the Beast so that the venom can become inert. This response happens because of the human ability to adapt instantly.
