Fairies

Fairies are one of the three classes of living being in Continental (The other two are humans and Beasts). Fairies, often shortened to Fae, are not born, but instead created. The Fairies are created by things in nature: plants, features such as rock formations, or phenomena. After a period of time and growth, the natural thing will gain sentience and a form that can separate from the original thing. This new living being is a Fairy, and has innate free will, sentience, and sapience. Though Fairies do have sapience, they don't possess human morality (instead Fairy morals) or pathos, only human emotions. Fairies don't age, but they can be killed. And Fairies don't have flesh in the same way that Beasts or Humans do. Fairies are made of the same stuff as the natural thing from which they were created, so don't have organs of any kind. As such all fairies are biologically sexless and agender. Though Fairies may choose to perform in gendered ways. Every Fairy has some sort of special ability which aligns with what natural thing they were created from, ie: growing plants or making it rain. These special powers are incredibly powerful, stronger than any similar power of a Beasts's. A Fairy is killed when the natural thing that created them is completely destroyed. If even a single piece of the natural thing survives, the Fairy survives. If the natural thing that created the Fairy was a piece of flora; that plant cannot wilt or die over time. This fact means that some Fairies are much easier to kill than others. In general there is a power disparity between the three things that create Fairies. From least to most powerful it is phenomenon, feature, plant.
