Boxus is a main phase, yellow star orbiting in the White River galaxy. It joins a cluster of 4 other stars.
Solar Characteristics
Mass: 2.0880E30 kg (~105% sol mass)
Volume: 1.4829E18 km
3 (~105% sol vol)
The solar output of Boxus is similar to the Sun in luminosity, radiance, and brightness.
Boxus is a yellow, main sequence star of similar size and composition to Sol. The star is in the early phases of its lifecycle (age < 3 billion years).
Orbiting Bodies
One asteroid belt and a dust cloud also orbit the star.
Boxus is orbited by at least 7 major planetary bodies; from nearest average orbit to furthest, they are:
- Boxus a - Doon
- Boxus b - Hiphus
- Boxus c - Dari
- Boxus d - Tetraphaxus
- Boxus e - Ippu
- Boxus f - Iphanti
- Boxus g - Kisui
Boxus’ simple habitable zone is populated by Boxus b (Hiphus) and Boxus c (Dari) - both of which support multi-cellular and intelligent life. Both Hiphus and Dari spend the entirety of their orbit in the habitable zone and support liquid water on their surface. Intelligent life is also present on Boxus d: Tetraphaxus II (Atapos). Tetraphaxus only spends part of its orbit close enough to Boxus such that liquid water can form on Atapos’ surface. The remainder of the heat necessary to liquify water is generated by tidal forces between Atapos and Tetraphaxus.
