Lord William Arends
Lasonder has a long history of friendship with Lord William Arends. They are of the same age and attended the same boarding school in Noblis during their youth. William-especially had a penchant for causing trouble, and he and Lasonder became friends while being mututally disiplined. Lasonder would continue into Noba's military academy and receive a commission as a junior officer, while Arends entered civil administration. Lasonder and Arends became separated during Noba's last war against its northern neighbor, where Lasonder was deployed with his unit. His position at the front spared him from the bout of assassination attempts which took the life of many of his noble peerage. Lasonder survived the war and continued serving with distinction, earning him an eventual promotion to Colonel. In 544, Lord Arends was appointed viscount of Varkin and chairman of the city council. Arends extended an offer to Lasonder to serve as his Master of War - which Lasonder accepted. They continue to share a fraternal relationship.
