The Sovereign State of Oxnard

Oxnard's first formal government was established as an independent city-state in 465 of the fourth era. It was ruled by an elected city-council of mostly guilds and permanent state representatives. The council in turn elected a mayor to act as its head of state.
The last mayor prior to the governments dissolution was Michael Fulhorn, who served from 533-01-01 E4 until his deposition by the Tomorrow Conspiracy in 533-06-15.
For three months following the Tomorrow Conspiracy's coup, Oxnard was ruled in defacto by a representative of the conspiracy.

Oxnard City, Noba

Following Oxnard's annexation by the Marquisate of Noba in 533-09, the marquis comissioned Oxnard and the surrounding wildes as a new barony within the Marquisate. As is Galatean tradition, the Noblese military commander responsible for Oxnard's annexation was given title to administrate The Barony of the Wildes and was sworn as its military protector.
Oxnard is the seat of the barony. Civil administration within Oxnard City itself is given to a margrave, who is elected by a city council of local lords and approved by the Baron.
