Dol-Daruhm

Divine Planar Realm of Moradin, The Allfather

A single titanic mountain surrounded by other impressive mountains. It is a land rich with valleys, hills, peaks, and the like. Moradin makes his home in a sprawling, enormous mansion built into the base of 'Dol-Daruhm', the central mountain, called 'Helbadihr'. Inside this mansion and within this mountain are the Soul Forges that Moradin is said to use to temper the spirits of his people.   The Valleys, Depths, Mountains, and all land within Dol-Daruhm are rich with minerals, gems, ores, and all manner of things that the Dwarves who live there mine for and dig out. When the world was young, it was said to have been a simple extension of Nirvana, but now it floats freely within the planescape and is said to have many entrances within many of the good and neutrally-aligned outer planes.

Geography

Dol-Daruhm is nearly one continuous mountain range that seems to span on forever, pocketed with brief expanses of rolling hills and vast plains that eventually all lead back into massive, sprawling mountains that reach into the sky like the spine of a massive titan.   In the center of all these Mountain Ranges sits Grand Mountain itself, where Moradin and the rest of the Dwarven Pantheon calls their home in a sprawling mansion complex built into the base of the mountain...the mountain, its peak reaching so far into the sky that the clouds that swirl across the realm obscure its peak, is said to be one of the tallest outcroppings in all the Planes.   The dwarves who call the realm home have dozens of villages and cities built into the outsides of the sprawling Mountain Ranges across the realm, and even some citadels buried beneath the earth. Here, they hunt, mine, and forge to their hearts content under the watchful eye of The Allfather himself.

Fauna & Flora

Nothing but the hardiest plants and animals can live within Dol-Daruhm, which is just what The Allfather desires in the denizens of his realm. The hard, brittle mountain rock does little favors to plants looking to grow and gives animals little room to make their homes on the surface, though there are many types of animals that do eke on an existence here above the surface...and while the skies are filled with many manner of flying avian creatures, the underground is filled with a vibrancy of glowing moss, odd plants, and odder creatures.
