Dwulvor the Deathless

The Father of Dwarvenkind and first of the High Dwarves

King Dwulvor the First (a.k.a. King Dwulvor)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Dwulvor, being a High Dwarf, had a body carved from solid stone and had no biology to begin with. He was a hulking mass of moss-covered basalt rock and in many depictions, covered in moss and other vines, with a beautiful crown atop his massive head with a body bedecked with countless jewels, valuables, and exotic ores and minerals.

Body Features

His body was a huge and hulking mass of basalt rock that was implanted with veins of gold, adamantine, and other rare ores.

Facial Features

His face was literally a solid slab of rock with two holes bored in it for eyes, as well as a facsimile of a mouth to allow others to feel more comfortable around him.

Special abilities

As a High Dwarf, Dwulvor could sculpt and carve rock, stone, lava, and even life itself...abilities which he used to carve out the ancient underground homeland of the Dwarves, to make their forges and underground cities, and to forge the Dwarves themselves and breathe life into them.

Apparel & Accessories

Dwulvor is depicted as being notoriously obsessed with decorate his stone body with jewels, ores, and other valuable accessories like rings, necklaces, and crowns to display his unending wealth to others.

Specialized Equipment

Unlike many High Dwarves, he decorated his hulking form in the finest suit of armor of his own make, wielded only the best weapons carved by his own hand, and wore nothing that was not an artifact in its own right. Everything he wore was decorated with valuable metals and minerals, and worth a titanic fortune.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

The Dwarves of the modern day know little of their father's history aside from what little they have gathered from tales and stories, and besides a knowledge of his race and his nature as their creator, they know precious little about him...and often, they search zealously for any surviving records which could shed light on more of his history or about himself.

Sexuality

Unknown

Accomplishments & Achievements

The forging of the Dwarven Homeland and the creation of the Dwarven people themselves were his greatest accomplishments.

Morality & Philosophy

Little is known of Dwulvor's morality or his philosophy beyond those commonly attributed to his race, the High Dwarves.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

To sculpt the world, give it form, and leave a legacy behind in the form of his Dwarven children that would last for an eternity.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Good with money, appraising valuables/minerals/ores, excellent warrior and engineer and craftsman, more(?)   Famously bad with charismatic social talks, not being gruff, humor, changing his mind, changing at all, more(?)

Likes & Dislikes

Little is known of Dwulvor's Likes or Dislikes in any meaningful fashion...after eons of grandiose storytelling from uncountable numbers of Dwarf and all manner of creatures telling his legends in songs, stories, and other forms, his legend has been so distorted it is tough to tell what is truth. Many Dwarves agree that he at least liked alcohol and money, however.

Virtues & Personality perks

Excellent with money, excellent eye for valuables in all forms, wise and always thought in the long-term, wonderful brewmaster, unshakably confident and proud

Vices & Personality flaws

Miserly, Dour, Alcoholic(?), Unwilling to change

Social

Family Ties

Dwulvor is said to have fathered and created the entire modern Dwarven race, and all Dwarves of the current day consider themselves his children and family. It is unknown whether High Dwarves were even capable of having "Biological" children, however.

Religious Views

Although many Dwarves assume Dwulvor, being the firstborn son of Moradin, The Allfather and first of the High Dwarves, was faithful to his father, little concrete proof exists of his religious views.

Social Aptitude

Dwulvor's personality is said to have been the basis of that which has since defined the entire Dwarven people, and he was famously stubborn, stoic, and resolute. He was said to be a humorless man, one many called dour at times, but he greatly treasured his kin and his Dwarven children more than anything in the world. He was proud, sometimes to the point of arrogance, and was a man who was almost impossible to budge if he set his mind to something or decided he was right. While not particularly charismatic, he was practical and purposeful in his work, and his thriftiness and near-obsessive attention to detail drew many of his kin to his side and lent him the air of a down to earth ruler.

Wealth & Financial state

Having founded the first Dwarven kingdom after carving it out with his own hands far beneath the rock and stone of the surface, he soon accumulated wealth unheard of as his children, the Dwarves, began to grow as a people and mine away at the wealth and minerals and ores that dwelt within veins beneath the surface...soon, his riches grew so vast and expansive that his treasure vault was said to stretch from horizon to horizon, a miracle of ancient Dwarven Engineering. His wealth was bottomless, without equal, and during his time his people flourished with such richness and wealth that they were said to have no earthly way to spend it all...going so far as to melt it down by the mountain-full simply to make flowing rivers of molten gold to decorate their underground caverns.
