Jormunganda, The World Serpent
Minor Goddess of Monsters, Perfection, Rebirth, Consumption, and Growth
When a god of the apocalypse changes their mind and decides that escape from their prison is good enough, maybe it's time to re-evaluate just how fucked up the times you're living in are.Titles: Mother of Beasts, The World Serpent, The Apex Predator, The Absorber and Consumer, The Perfectionist, The Ancient One, The Inevitable End Favored Weapon: Kukri Alignment: Neutral Evil Church Moniker: Church of the World Serpent Obedience: Spend an hour feasting upon pieces of your previously defeated foes(The fresher the better) while breaking the bones of a living creature to powder. If you have no living creature on hand, bones you harvested yourself from defeated creatures will suffice as replacement. Obedience Effect: You may as a move action slice a tear into the spatial boundaries of your surrounding area to call upon a part of the mighty World-Serpent in battle - when you do so, you choose an enemy you can see within 30ft and force them to make a Will Save(DC based on your Constitution modifier) or become entangled and anchored as a part of Jormunganda's mighty body emerges from the ground at their feet to restrain them. They remain anchored for 1 minute or until they make the save at the end of their turn.

Artifacts
Though Jormunganda's faith has largely existed as a small, isolated series of scattered cults across Corexus and Inara for much of its history, it has begun growing in size and influence in recent years with the advent of the Age of Godsfall - believed to be thanks in no small part to the chaos of the prior age and the rising ire of the mortal populace of the planet of Ea with the Gods and their hubris, leading many to find Jormunganda's faith as a way to get revenge on the gods who sleighted them(Often by feeding them or their followers to Jormunganda herself).
As such, a handful of new artifacts have begun appearing irregularly across the land as a baleful symbol of Jormunganda's rising power, which are described below:
- The World-Serpent Rites: These artifact level magic rituals have been seen no less than 3 times within as many decades, but have only ever been fully invoked once - a series of unfathomably powerful rituals that when invoked allow for the summoning of specific body parts of Jormunganda herself into the surrounding area, usually to cataclysmic effect. Most recently, the Rite to invoke Jormunganda's maw was successfully invoked deep in the Wasting Sea under dubious circumstances - though the target of that ritual was never conclusively identified due to the extreme remoteness of the locale in which it was invoked.
- The Feasting Claw: A fearsome weapon forged by the fallen monk and mighty servant of Jormunganda Urlicitous the Vile after decades spent feasting upon enemies in her service during the Age of Troubles, the Feasting Claw was the personal weapon of Urlicitous himself and was made into a truly fearsome artifact during his lifetime - carrying numerous blessings of Jormunganda within it, this metallic claw attaches to the back of the hand like many similar monastic weapons and carries a pervasive stench of blood within its semi-rusted blades. Said to be capable of ripping the souls from struck creatures and transforming the wielder into a being capable of devouring their enemies whole, its mightiest power is said to emerge when the claw is dug into the wielder's body and the proper incantation spoken - at which point the wielder is said to offer up their own body as a conduit to manifest part of Jormunganda herself through(Most famously used by Urlicitous to transform his arms and legs into gargantuan tails and snake maws). Its current whereabouts are unknown, following Urlicitous's death at the hands of the champion of Hākem.
- The Fahralni Pactblade: This mighty two-handed blade, said to be as big as an adult human male, is believed to have been created when the World-Serpent Maw-Rite was invoked in the Wasting Sea - though the exact means and reasons of its creation are not yet known. Regardless, this mighty weapon is a wonderfully sharp weapon said to be magically imbued with the power to decapitate its foes with a single slice, channel the elements into its strikes, and a suite of other unique abilities powered by its ability to absorb and channel Atlen. Most famously, however, is its ability to form "pacts" with its wielder to enhance its own abilities and power exponentially - wherein the wielder of the weapon offers up a part of their body for the Pactblade to consume and devour to achieve a requested goal, objective, or to power a requested ability. Currently, it is believed to be wielded by Jormunganda's current champion - name and race unknown.
