The Eldritch Renaissance

An event which marked the rise of the Minor Goddess Kosm into a God to rival even the Primordial gods themselves.

The only known example of a god rising in power such that they were inducted into the ranks of the Major Gods, Kosm, a previously minor god of no import that governed insanity and madness, found herself empowered practically overnight after the fall of High Humanity, the countless peoples of the Age turning to the comforting embrace of an eldritch mother to help them escape all the calamity that surrounded them in their lives.   Due to this explosion of her faith as it swept across the Continent and beyond practically overnight, Kosm rapidly ascended in power such that, in time, even the Major Gods began to take notice of her as nearly every creature of that Age could name Kosm, if they did not actively worship her.   Modern historians are of the opinion that this renaissance of her faith can only be described as a symptom of the things that troubled the peoples of that age...so bad were their lives, they speculate, that only the comforting embrace of madness and insanity could give them peace.   "Much better to live without care nor worry as a madman than to live with your sanity in an insane world" - Dogma of Kosm's Ancient Religion
