Marshal of the North
This is the title given to the top Alyite military commander of in the lands North of the Spine. The title is typically given to a field commander with long experience in the Order. The Marshall has a seat on the Order's High Council, but typically designates a deputy to represent her since the Council is based in distant Alyathon. All Alyite fortresses, chapter houses and field forces in the North Ultimately report back to the Marshal.
Qualifications
The marshal is a career officer of the Alyite Order. At times this position has been held by a warrior priestess, but more often it is held by a warrior without religious qualification. when picking a marshal, the council will always pick a northerner known for their bravery, trustworthiness and devotion to the Order's mission. At times this position has been held by Northron humans, Northron Corgerians and Danites.
Appointment
The Marshal of the North must always first serve as a General. When receiving and accepting the Council's formal appointment an investiture ceremony will be held. This typically, but is not required to be, held at the Temple of the Fortress of Pandra.
Duties
Preside over the Alyite Council of the North. Lead investment ceremonies for the appointment of Commanders of 1,000 and above. Conduct diplomacy with rulers and allies in the north.

1. Command Alyite forces in the lands north of the Spine. 2. Appoint or approve the appointment of officers to positions within the Order. 3. Maintain, protect and improve Alyite Fortresses, Chapter Houses in the land under her jurisdiction.
