The Palace of Margossa
Built on a mesa overlooking the capital of the Kingdom of Tarrel this building is considered near impregnable. The palace has a 20’ outer walls and a 40’ inner walls. Both walls feature stoutly built towers and gatehouses. The wall towers have been stocked with artillery weapons, fire throwers and are patrolled by troops of crossbowmen backed by spell-casters. The grounds are patrolled by both soldiers and magical creations. The outer ward contains stables, storehouses and workshops. The Palace itself is a three-story gleaming white marble building with a large domed tower (100’ tall) at each corner and huge central domed tower (130’ tall) at the center of the building. The is filled with grand audience chambers, banquet halls, galleries and luxurious apartments. Beneath the palace is a vast cellar containing storerooms, cisterns and the King’s own laboratory where he undertakes magical experiments.

The castle serves as both a royal palace and as a fortress to protect the royal family.
