First Great Dragon War

This conflict started as the Evil Chromatic dragons invaded the home worlds of the other races, led by The Worldbreaker. Using their powerful magic and Dragonborn armies to invade their worlds. This inspired the stories, fear and racism towards dragons, still felt to this day. Making some humanoids become very popular Dragon Slayers. Committing mass genocide on many tribes.
The humans won the war by banding together with the elves along other races and created The 5 Orbs of Dragonkind which they used to control the dragons. Stories about this war and these orbs are commonly told by Dragonborn to their children.
