Daren Bladewood

The former adventurer of legend, Daren Bladewood, has a long and storied history dating back nearly a half-century. Along with his brother Giran, Daren traveled all across the Realms in search of great adventure. Along the way, he fought in many deadly battles, from small skirmishes along with his brother, to massive battles against assailing Orc hordes. The final battle he would fight before returning home was one that cost him his brother. Not much is known for certain, but rumors of what happened in that fight have swirled around the taverns and guild halls for years now, only adding to the uncertainty. After this incident, Daren decided to leave the adventuring behind him. He instead would use his strength and abilities to protect the family that he still had; the citizens of his hometown of Eveningstar. 
After 'retiring' back to his hometown, he joined the Purple Dragons officially, and was given captaincy of Eveningstar by obtaining the rank of Constal. Queen Raedra herself was the one to bestow this rank, along with the title of nobility that comes with the position, as a show of gratitude to Daren for his great efforts in the war against Netheril and the Shadovar army. It was in-part due to him that Raedra was able to defeat the Purple Dragon Reborn, leading to the abdication of the throne. Daren shrugs at the thought of being a 'noble,' and avoids using the title for personal benefit, yet he still understands the power that the title holds, and does what good he can with it, though he often feels it limits his power just as much as gives.
