Eveningstar

Nestled in-between the King's Forest and the Eastern Stormhorns is the small town of Eveningstar. The humble people of this town live relatively simple lives; cultivating their fields, tending to livestock, tanning hides, or crafting other fine products. The goods produced here are well known around all of Cormyr, attracting large crowds to the local market held in the town square every week.

A brief history

While its exact founding date is unknown, it is known that Eveningstar has been around ever since the King's Forest was cleared around the High Road. The town has served as a home for mostly-human farmers and ranchers ever since, as well as becoming known amongst tourists and adventurers as one of the best stopping points on long journeys across the Kingdom. As a small, unassuming town, Eveningstar has avoided most of the damage from the various conflicts through Cormyr's history, however, in the 14th century, it did suffer from rouge Dragon attacks when a few old Dragons were awoken from their slumbers in their lair in the Stormhorns. Within just a few years, the Goblin War wreaked havoc across the northern end of Cormyr, leaving Eveningstar with nearly 20% of the town destroyed. Lord Tessaril Winter was responsible for the town surviving thanks to her strong leadership. Eveningstar has been relatively peaceful since, but now that calamity to the north is causing ripples across the Realms, dangerous things are occurring all around, and this small town is not as safe as it used to be.
