Charyan (Language)
The Charyan language developed two distinct dialects during the country's division and civil wars. The two are mutually intelligible on a basic level, but speakers may struggle to understand complex or more recent topics. Southern Charyan makes greater use of loan words and foreign sounds, while Northern Charyan remains closer to the roots of the language.
Geographical Distribution
Spoken in Charya, but rarely spreads beyond immigrant communities. If a Temple of the Mother and Child is located in an area with a heavy immigrant population, services may be conducted in Charyan.
