Oramas Emmara Nalu was a Makeyan captain, famous for mapping the Makeyan Archipelago and uniting the islands under the leadership of The Guild. She served as captain of the Wailing Gull from 9 BGE - 5 GE.

Emmara Nalu was the first to completely map the Makeyan Archipelago. Her journals from the voyage are collected in the volume Survey of the Makeyan Archipelago, a copy of which may be found in every Guild Hall around the world.
Inspired by her journey through the archipelago, and the brutal effects of pirate raids over the course of several years, Emmara Nalu went on to unite the islands under the leadership of The Guild. Unity between the islands dramatically changed the global trading markets, and greatly reduced the threat from piracy.
