Career

Qualifications

Prospective Watch Keepers must be born and raised in the city of Coromare, having spent no more than five years living outside the city walls. This is to ensure that all Watch Keepers are thoroughly familiar with the city and loyal to the people they will serve. New recruits are accepted between the ages of 20 and 30, and must be literate in Calan. Those who wish to patrol the streets must be in good physical condition, as the job is taxing on the body. It is common for Pigeons to be recruited by the City Watch, as their knowledge of the city is second to none.

Career Progression

Watch Keepers spend three months in training before they are placed on watch.

Payment & Reimbursement

Watch Keepers are paid 50 Silver Moons per month (or 1 Golden Sun, 15 Silver Moons). The watch also provides for one meal each shift.

Perception

Purpose

Watch Keepers are the police force of Coromare, ensuring the safety of its residents and the protection of their property. They are responsible for quelling and investigating disturbances within the city walls.

History

The first Watch Keepers were volunteers protecting their neighborhoods from petty crime. They met in a rented room above a tavern in Dockside, and would ultimately organize to form the City Watch.
