Veata is the daughter of a exotic woman from Dunecrest and a noble Air genesai, never knowing her mother but a picture of her Veata wanted to know more about her human side which prompted two things from her. One Veata changes her appearance daily to look like her mother, dark olive skin, bright green eyes, and flowing red hair. Secondly; on her 17th birthday she requested from her father that she go out into the world to see the way humans interacted compared to her father and his people. Although he was not happy with this her father granted her request as long as she keep in contact with him, Veata was very happy and took her first few steps into the world. This was when she met the Oddyssey Guild, Veata made friends with Koan there but during the first Anima incursion she lost all her memories of that time. Apparently though she had a bigger affect on the Kitsune's heart as after the event he started to follow her for a while at a distance, Veata felt his presence but after a time Koan left her in order to make sure she was not dragged into their mess.
When Koan moved himself back to the guild to wait for others to return Veata could not feel a nagging in the back of her mind that something was different, she traveled for a year by herself feeling slightly empty. On an off chance she found herself back in Cerulia near Rikar, sliding herself over to the guild in order to look for jobs she found herself face to face with Koan again. Although she did not remember him it seems the connection between the both was too hard for them to deny. In the end Veata stayed with the guild later on Koan let her back into his heart, both of them finally unable to deny it fell in love working side by side to heal the others.

When Veata first met Koan his need to keep doors open to let in the air made her gravitate towards him, and the fact that they both had red hair. Koan became like an older brother to Veata and she would call him Oni-chan for a while there until she lost her memories. After the whole first coming of Anima Veata traveled around but felt a pull to Rikar where she once again met up with Koan... in that relationship it seemed to be the same but slightly different as Veata did not call him Oni-chan and seemed to have grown up more emotion wise around him. In the end after trails trying to keep them apart Koan finally let go of his hidden feelings and the two became a couple, they currently live together in the Healer's Den but Veata has tried to keep her distance since Ito showed up to give Koan time to know his daughter.
