Clara

Clara was a Homyn chef and proprieter of the Gargling Ghillie on Aspidie in the town of Graham's Port. Her establishment catered to merchants and hopeful Corsairs visiting the town en route to Lion City.
She got herself working as a chef on Jim Kestrel's crew, The Dark Home, where she helped Anh Edonia sinki the first Koan dreadnaught. While not much good in a fight, Clara was in many ways the glue that held the group together--being the only member who could communicate using sign language with the crew's deaf artificer, Silence. She also met the love of her life there, a Geit named Hemig. After the war, the two settled down in Aspidie and had a duaghter together named Astrid.
The Gargling Ghillie played host to the founding Party members' first meeting, an event whose auspicity went largely unnoticed at the time. When Prince Lucas set off a hyperion bomb on Aspidie, the Party redirected a ship helping with the evacuation at Graham's Port to save Jin Bei's life. Hemig and Clara stayed behind to help others evacuate, and never made it off the moon.
