Collette

Collette Rosmund is the cousin and sister-in-law of Simon, and wife of his brother Liam. She grew up with the Albrecht brothers, originally betrothed to Simon. But when Simon became a Corsair his brother stood to inherit the throne, as well as the arranged marriage.
Against all odds, Collette found herself genuinely in love with Liam, able to see a kind and tortured soul beneath his sometimes cruel demeanor. Life had thrown many obstacles in Liam's path, one of them unfortunately being her own father, Cecil. He attempted to reneg on the dowry that supplied Diamond with the lumber that fueled its shipbuilding trade.
When Cecil's plans came to a head, Collette made a desperate ploy and proposed marriage to Simon to save the man she truly loved and his family and restore the alliance. However, Simon managed to convince Cecil to uphold the alliance and allow Liam to take the throne, allowing the two to marry and hopefully work toward a better future for Diamond.
