Diamond

Diamond is a moon in located in Io's East Orbit and is the home of Simon Albrecht. Along with the other Gem Colonies--Topaz and Ruby--it was among the second set of moons to be annexed by the Homyn Kingdom. Its native species are the Hanzir, a tusked boar-like people known for producing able sailors. As such, Diamond is home to many mercenary companies who lend their services to the Homyn Kingdom.
For most of its history, Diamond was known as the center of the Homyn shipbuilding trade. However, a disease called Hog Rot struck its tree population, decimating the moon's supply of lumber. Simon's father, Sigmund Albrecht, single handedly saved the moon by marrying into the Rosmund family, who ruled the forest moon, Entar, securing a stable supply of lumber for a dowry.
Diamond's capitol city is Adamant, the home of the Albrechts and seat of the moon's power. The only other large city occupying the moon is the Hanzir City of Babirusa, a sprawling metropolis of docks slowly falling into the waves as Hog Rot eats away at its wooden supports.
Diamond's geography is dominated by its mountainous peaks, the tallest of which are found beneath its seas. The mighty Mount Sagitarius was flattened during the Koan conquest of Io to demonstrate the capabilities of their powerful mortars and deprive the Homyn Kingdom of the powerful adamantium that rested within it.
