Dren

Dren is a veiled assassin enslaved by the Hanuman Brotherhood. Despite being owned by Mong Bal, Dren takes a great deal of pride in his enslavement. In his worldview, the value of a Veiled is measured in the value they bring to their masters. Dren adopts an ascetic devotion to his work, sleeping in a coffin-like container in between his missions.
The Hanuman Brotherhood dispatched Dren to assist Itthis in procuring a Veiled priestess from a fallen Mong Bal Warlord. While both Veiled slaves, Dren looked down on Itthis for the substantial freedoms his master provided him--which he saw as an indulgence and sign of weakness. Perhaps Dren's assessment proved correct in the end, as Dren's masters got the better of Itthis's, killing his warlord and stealing the priestess out from under him at the end of their mission.
